Kiko Pangilinan pushes for food security, farmer welfare in Bulacan

Senatorial candidate Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan focused his campaign in Bulacan on advocating for food security and the welfare of farmers and fisherfolk.

His campaign activities included a motorcade through Plaridel and other key areas, concluding with a mini-rally at the New Malolos City Hall.

Pangilinan acknowledged the strong agricultural, livestock, and fishing industries in Plaridel, highlighting the local market's vibrancy.

He emphasized the importance of the Sagip Saka Act, which he authored, as a mechanism for direct procurement of food from farmers and fisherfolk by the government at fair prices, thereby supporting food supply chains.
