Businessman, driver feared dead after Rizal discovery

Two bodies found in Rodriguez, Rizal, are believed to be those of a businessman and his driver who were kidnapped on March 29.

The victims, identified as Anson Que, owner of Elison Steel, and his driver Mr. Pabillo, were discovered in Barangay Macabud with their faces covered in duct tape and placed in a nylon bag.

Que and his driver were initially abducted in Bulacan.

The businessman's luxury vehicle, a Lexus LM350, was found abandoned in Quezon City.

The kidnappers had demanded millions of dollars in ransom from the victim's family.

PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo confirmed on April 10 that the remains were recovered on April 9.

The Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. has expressed concern over the incident.
