Kidapawan City implements community quarantine, mandatory disinfection

Kidapawan City has implemented a community quarantine following President Duterte's declaration of a national health emergency due to COVID-19.

The local government is also conducting mandatory disinfection of all tricycles operating within the city and its barangays, with designated disinfection points along city streets.

Daily disinfection is being carried out in public places such as the Overland Terminal and the public market to ensure public safety and prevent the spread of the virus.

At least 60 individuals are currently under monitoring by health personnel due to travel history from Metro Manila and countries with confirmed COVID-19 cases, including the city mayor's father.

Meanwhile, the entire province of Cotabato has been placed under a modified community quarantine through an executive order issued by Governor Nancy Catamco.

Governor Catamco urged constituents to practice social distancing and maintain a meter's distance from others.

Both the city and provincial capitol have adopted a four-day workweek schedule for one month as a pre-emptive measure against COVID-19, in accordance with a Civil Service Commission memorandum.
