Kevin Quiambao wins second consecutive UAAP MVP award

Kevin Quiambao has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament for the second consecutive year.

He secured the MVP title with 81.357 statistical points, averaging 16.64 points, 8.64 rebounds, 4.07 assists, and one steal per game.

Quiambao joins an exclusive group of La Salle players who have won the MVP award multiple times and is the first local player to win back-to-back MVPs since Kiefer Ravena in 2016 and 2017.

He dedicated his second consecutive MVP award to his family and his La Salle teammates, noting the sacrifices made.

This year's MVP award was particularly special for Quiambao due to the added challenges of juggling his student-athlete duties with his Gilas Pilipinas stint and caring for his newborn baby.

He mentioned that time management was key to balancing his commitments, highlighting the difficulty of his daily schedule.

Quiambao also expressed that the award serves as motivation for his child, whom he hopes will also become a La Sallian.
