Kanlaon Volcano on Negros Island remains under Alert Level 3 due to ongoing unrest.

Over a 24-hour period, the volcano recorded 10 volcanic earthquakes and emitted 1,714 tonnes of sulfur dioxide.

Moderate plumes rose up to 100 meters and drifted southwest, with continuous degassing and ash emissions observed.

The volcano's structure remains inflated, indicating a potential pressure buildup.

Hazards such as explosive eruptions, ashfall, lava flow, pyroclastic density currents, rockfall, and lahars are possible.

A six-kilometer radius around the summit is under a permanent danger zone, and flying aircraft near the volcano is prohibited.

The mayor of La Castellana, Negros Occidental, has requested P47 million from the national government to cover evacuation expenses for over 4,000 residents.
