K-pop group TWICE donates ₱7.6 million to Hong Kong fire relief efforts

K-pop group TWICE donated HK$1 million (approximately ₱7.6 million) to aid relief efforts following a destructive fire at the Wang Fuk Court apartment complex in Hong Kong.

The donation was channeled through Hong Kong World Vision to assist families and children affected by the disaster, providing temporary housing, psychological aid, educational assistance, and livelihood programs.

As of December 3, the fire has resulted in 159 deaths, 79 injuries, and approximately 4,000 individuals left homeless.

TWICE's agency, JYP Entertainment, expressed condolences and offered comfort to the bereaved families, hoping for a swift recovery.

Despite the tragedy, the group proceeded with their scheduled concerts at Kai Tak Stadium after consulting with promoter Live Nation.
