Remulla forms task force to probe drug war killings

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla has established a special task force to investigate alleged extrajudicial killings during former President Rodrigo Duterte's war on drugs, vowing that no one will be spared.

Department Order 778, signed on November 4, formally constituted the task force under the Office of the Secretary of Justice Prosecution Staff, comprising a chairperson, co-chairperson, and nine members from the National Prosecution Service.

The task force is mandated to investigate, aid in case build-up, and file criminal charges against perpetrators, and must submit a report to the Secretary of Justice within 60 days.

Additionally, the task force is directed to coordinate and assist the House of Representatives Quad Committee and Senate Blue Ribbon Committee in their respective investigations into the war on drugs.
