JRU downs EAC 69-66, boosted by Sean Salvador's career-high 24 points

Salvador, coming off the bench, scored 24 points for JRU, including crucial free throws that secured their sixth win against five losses.

This victory brought JRU within half a game of San Beda and Letran, who are tied for second place in Group B with 6-4 records, while San Beda leads the bracket at 7-3.

EAC's loss dropped their record to 4-6, impacting their standing in the tournament.

In another game, Arellano University (AU) beat San Sebastian 78-71, with T-Mc Ongotan scoring 25 points and Renzo Abiera adding 20 points.

AU's win solidified their third-place position in Group A with a 4-6 record, securing them an outright quarterfinal entry and avoiding the play-in tournament.
