Josh Ford worked as waiter and care worker to support family after father's death

Actor Josh Ford shared his experiences working as a waiter and care worker in the UK to support his mother and three siblings after his father's death.

The family relocated to the UK for a fresh start after his father passed away, leaving his mother to become the sole provider for the four children.

Ford described the difficulty of adjusting to a new environment and the initial shock his mother faced when she had to become the primary breadwinner.

He recalled his mother's words when she told them they were moving, "When my mom said na we're gonna live there, lahat kami nagulat."

Upon entering college, Ford decided to work to earn his own money and alleviate the financial burden on his mother.

He expressed his desire not to be a weight on his mother, who was already working hard to support four young children as a single parent.

His first job was as a care worker, assisting elderly patients suffering from dementia and other illnesses.
