Heading plays through back spasms as TNT takes 1-0 PBA semis lead

TNT Tropang Giga secured a 1-0 series lead in the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals against Rain or Shine, largely due to the resilient performance of guard Jordan Heading despite playing through back spasms.

Heading, playing limited minutes due to his injury, still managed to contribute 11 points, three rebounds, and an assist.

His presence was crucial for TNT, which is already dealing with multiple injuries to key guards like Jayson Castro, Rey Nambatac, and Brian Heruela.

The guard expressed that his back condition has improved since their last game against Magnolia Hotshots but continues to require treatment and management to limit his playing time.

Heading detailed the extensive efforts undertaken to alleviate his back spasms, including consultations with chiropractors and physiotherapists.

He previously missed several games during the All-Filipino Conference due to the same back issue after being traded to TNT from the Converge FiberXers.
