Jia De Guzman, Bernadeth Pons, Sisi Rondina to rejoin PVL teams

Jia De Guzman, Bernadeth Pons, and Sisi Rondina are set to rejoin their respective Premier Volleyball League (PVL) teams following their participation in the national team's Southeast Asian Games campaign.

De Guzman and Pons will return to the Creamline Cool Smashers, while Rondina will be back with the Choco Mucho Flying Titans for the upcoming PVL All-Filipino Conference.

De Guzman, who captained Alas Pilipinas and served as its top setter, had previously decided to skip the Reinforced Conference to fully commit to the national team's SEA Games stint where they finished fourth.

Pons and Rondina also took a leave from their PVL clubs to compete in the SEA Games beach volleyball event, where they played key roles in securing a gold medal for the country.

Philippine National Volleyball Federation chief Tonyboy Liao confirmed the return of Pons and Rondina to their mother teams.

De Guzman had previously indicated her intention to play for Creamline in the PVL All-Conference in the upcoming year.

The return of De Guzman and Pons is expected to bolster the Creamline franchise, which missed its first podium finish in the league since 2017.
