JGFP Mindanao Open tees off in Davao City with top young golfers

The Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP) is launching its new year with the JGFP Mindanao Open tournament in Davao City.

The event will pit top young golfers from Mindanao against those from Metro Manila at the Apo Golf and Country Club.

Notable participants include Philippine Amateur Open finalist Johanna Blair Uyking for the host team, and Philippine Amateur champion Lisa Sarines along with her siblings for the visiting team.

Other strong contenders include Singapore Island Country Club champion Nicole Gaisano Gan and her sister, alongside talents like Enzo Cham, Felix Saludar, Venus delos Santos, and Seth Koa.

The tournament also features a formidable team from South Cotabato, led by Thailand Junior World champion Jared Saban.

JGFP president Oliver Gan expressed excitement about returning to Mindanao for the third consecutive year, emphasizing the goal of discovering new talents.
