Jessica Sanchez to perform at 2026 ASEAN Summit

Filipino-American singer Jessica Sanchez paid a courtesy call on President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos at Malacañang Palace.

President Marcos Jr. invited Sanchez to perform at the upcoming 2026 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Related Summits, which the Philippines will host.

Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong expressed his admiration for Sanchez, looking forward to her performance.

Mrs. Marcos recounted a conversation with PM Wong, who emphasized Sanchez's talent and how she embodies the Philippines' musicality.

President Marcos Jr. remarked that Sanchez's performance would set a high standard for the summit, calling her the best.

Sanchez expressed her excitement for the invitation, stating she would carefully select songs to represent Filipinos and assured the President she would perform.

The President congratulated Sanchez for her win in America's Got Talent 2025, which he said made the country proud.

Sanchez is also set to perform at Newport World Resorts' New Year's countdown event on December 31, marking her first major performance in the Philippines since winning America's Got Talent.
