LTO confirms James Deakin's son committed reckless driving

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has confirmed that Daniel Deakin, son of vlogger James Deakin, committed reckless driving on December 18, 2025, on Skyway Stage 3 for crossing a double solid line and for driving an unregistered vehicle.

The LTO classified the offense as reckless driving, citing that the vehicle lacked proper documentation and should not have been on the road.

James Deakin had recently shared on social media his dismay over the "reckless driving" citation, stating it could negatively impact his son's record.

Deakin mentioned that after paying a P2,000 fine, they were told the license couldn't be released without vehicle registration documents, which he initially claimed were not theirs.

Upon returning with documents from the manufacturer, Deakin was informed that the deadline to settle had passed, resulting in his son's license being suspended for a month.

The LTO has also issued a show-cause order against the vehicle dealer for releasing the car without proper documents.
