It's Showtime celebrates 16th anniversary with first-ever award show

It's Showtime celebrated its 16th anniversary with its first-ever "It's Showtime AWAAARD," a segment recognizing the hosts with playful gimmicks and awards.

Ryan Bang and Jackie Gonzaga hosted the event, with guest host Barbie Forteza and presenters like Angeline Quinto and Gus Abelgas.

The "HA? HAKDOG AWARD" for mispronouncing words was given to Anne Curtis and Jhong Hilario, with Jhong Hilario humorously accepting it as his first award on the show.

Other notable awards included the "Sablay Supremacy Award" and "Words of Wisdom Award" for Vhong Navarro, and the "Glow Up Award" for Vice Ganda.

The hosts were unaware of the nominations and winners beforehand, allowing for genuine reactions.

It's Showtime debuted on GMA's GTV in July 2023 before moving to the GMA main channel in April 2024.
