ITCZ to bring scattered rains, thunderstorms in Mindanao

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will continue to bring scattered rains and thunderstorms across Mindanao.

PAGASA forecasts heavy rains in most parts of Mindanao, specifically in the Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Soccsksargen, and Davao Region.

The weather bureau warns of a continued threat of flooding or landslides in these affected Mindanao areas.

In Northern Luzon, the Ridge of a High-Pressure Area will cause partly cloudy skies over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands.

The entire archipelago will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.

PAGASA has not monitored any low-pressure areas that could develop into a tropical cyclone.

High heat index values are expected, with peaks of 46°C in Aparri, Cagayan, and 45°C in Dagupan, Pangasinan.
