INC national rally for peace draws 2.8M attendees

The Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) spokesperson Edwil Zabala asserted that the church's National Rally for Peace was not political, stating its purpose was to encourage forgiveness, unity, and peace.

The INC rally was reportedly organized in response to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s call to discourage impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte.

Former President Rodrigo Duterte thanked INC Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo and the church for holding the National Rally for Peace, emphasizing the need for unity and to move forward as one.

Duterte stated that the country needs unity, not impeachment, waste of government resources, self-serving schemes, or divisive actions.

The INC's rally drew approximately 2.8 million attendees nationwide, promoting peace and unity.

Vice President Sara Duterte viewed the INC rally as a powerful demonstration of unity and faith for national progress.

Several senators, including Senate President Francis "Chiz" Escudero, Senator Imee Marcos, and Senator Bong Go, expressed their support for the INC's prayer rally for peace and unity.

Brother Eric Zaratan, INC-Albay supervising minister, emphasized the church's agreement with President Marcos Jr.'s commitment to address the nation's needs and focus on pressing issues rather than disputes.

Zaratan also thanked the Legazpi local government unit and the Philippine National Police-Bicol for ensuring the rally's safety and security.

Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) Director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon congratulated the INC members for the successful and orderly execution of the National Rally for Peace.
