RTWPB Region I approves P33 minimum wage hike effective Nov 7

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) of Region I (Ilocos Region) approved a P33 minimum daily wage increase.

The new daily minimum wage for non-agriculture workers in establishments with 10 or more employees is now P468, and P435 for those in smaller non-agriculture businesses and the agriculture sector.

Domestic workers will receive a P500 monthly increase, bringing their minimum wage to P6,000.

These new wage rates, representing an 8 percent increase, will take effect on November 7.

The wage hike may also indirectly benefit nearly 350,000 full-time workers earning above the minimum wage due to the adjustment of wage-related benefits.
