Ilocos Norte under general community quarantine due to COVID-19

Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc placed the province under general community quarantine via Executive Order 60-2 to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Checkpoints have been installed at all border points, including Badoc, Pagudpud, Solsona, and Nueva Era, manned by an inter-agency health task force.

These checkpoints will check body temperatures and obtain health records of travelers.

Entrants with symptoms will be denied entry, except for residents of the province.

Uniformed personnel and quarantine officers are present at border checkpoints to impose the order.

All persons entering the province are required to undergo symptom checks at airports, seaports, and other points of entry.

Cruises and non-essential commercial shipments are banned unless otherwise ordered.

Government offices, private agencies, and non-essential entities are encouraged to cease operations or allow personnel to work from home, while public gatherings are canceled and classes are indefinitely suspended.
