Ilocos Norte drops RT-PCR requirement for fully vaccinated tourists

Starting December 1, fully vaccinated tourists from Ilocos Norte visiting areas under Alert Levels 1 to 3 will no longer need to present negative COVID-19 test results.

Instead, they will only be required to show their vaccination cards and undergo health screenings.

This eased protocol applies to tourists not coming from abroad or from areas designated under Alert Level 4 or 5.

Unvaccinated, partially vaccinated tourists, and those coming from Alert Level 4 areas will still need to present a negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours or an antigen test taken within 24 hours prior to travel.

An antigen test can also be taken upon arrival for those required to test.

All tourists, regardless of vaccination status, must have pre-booked accommodations with accredited establishments and obtain individual local quick response (QR) coded tourist passes through registration at https://ilocosnorte.ph.

The province of Ilocos Norte recorded 67 active COVID-19 cases on November 18, with three new cases, four recoveries, and one death.
