ICTSI Brazil facility moves to larger site to boost logistics efficiency

International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) has relocated its CLIA Pouso Alegre off-dock Customs bonded facility to a larger and more modern site in Minas Gerais, Brazil, aimed at enhancing logistics efficiency.

The new facility is strategically positioned along the Rio-Minas corridor, offering a direct multimodal link to the Rio Brasil Terminal at the Port of Rio de Janeiro.

This relocation establishes a streamlined supply chain from seaport to hinterland, benefiting key industries in Minas Gerais such as agribusiness, automotive, and pharmaceuticals.

Rafael Cardoso, chief commercial officer of CLIA Pouso Alegre and Rio Brasil Terminal, highlighted the creation of a direct and seamless connection between local industries and the global market.

The expanded site now includes a 12,600-square-meter warehouse and a bonded area with a capacity of 620 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), alongside a 1,800-TEU depot area and a dedicated export warehouse.
