Fugitive Cassandra Ong confirmed in PH, DOJ offers P1M reward

Malacañang confirmed that Cassandra Li Ong, a fugitive facing human trafficking charges, is currently in the Philippines.

However, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla announced that Ong was last tracked in Fujian, China, citing reliable sources.

Remulla stated that Ong might have left the country through backdoor channels, as there are no official records from the Bureau of Immigration.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is offering a P1-million reward for information leading to Ong's whereabouts.

A Regional Trial Court in Angeles, Pampanga has issued arrest warrants for Ong and former presidential spokesman Harry Roque for qualified human trafficking in connection with an alleged scam hub.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has intensified the manhunt for Ong and her co-accused.
