Howie Severino apprehended for mask violation

Kapuso journalist Howie Severino was apprehended by Quezon City law enforcers for briefly lowering his face mask to take a drink while on a bike ride.

Severino explained that he and his companions were wearing masks and maintaining distance when they stopped at a bike shop.

He had just finished his drink and returned the bottle to the store before he could pull his mask back up when law enforcers approached him.

He was brought to Amoranto Stadium for a seminar on the proper use of face masks in public.

Severino described the enforcement as "a bit draconian" and noted that hundreds of people were gathered at the stadium, potentially risking mass gatherings.
