Hontiveros questions how VP Duterte accessed Quiboloy witness affidavit

Senator Risa Hontiveros expressed curiosity regarding how Vice President Sara Duterte gained access to an affidavit from a former witness in the Senate investigation into Apollo Quiboloy.

The affidavit in question was allegedly from Michael Maurillo, who had previously testified against Quiboloy.

Duterte had publicly called for charges against individuals who purportedly helped Maurillo fabricate his testimony.

Hontiveros stated she would not object to Maurillo facing charges if his affidavit, like his previous video statement, contained lies, potentially opening him up to perjury and cyber libel charges.

Hontiveros specifically questioned how VP Duterte saw the affidavit before Maurillo released his video statement.

The Vice President made these remarks while in The Hague, Netherlands, commenting on Maurillo's recantation of his testimony against Quiboloy and the Dutertes.

Duterte emphasized that such serious accusations require clear answers to reach the bottom of the issue.
