Hoffman grateful for PH Olympic stint despite injury

Filipino-American hurdler Lauren Hoffman expressed gratitude for her Olympic experience at the Paris Olympics 2024, despite an Achilles injury impacting her performance and leading to an early exit.

She finished last in her women's 400m hurdles repechage heat with a time of 58.28 seconds, failing to qualify for the semifinals.

Hoffman acknowledged that the injury prevented effective training and that the consecutive races took a significant toll on her body.

She also dealt with mental health issues in the months leading up to the Games.

Despite the physical pain and disappointment, Hoffman felt her performance reflected the Filipino spirit of resilience.

She stated that she pushed through the pain during the race and, even with two disappointing performances, is grateful for the opportunity to compete and represent the Philippines.

Hoffman hopes to have glorified God and inspired others through her participation.
