Hidilyn Diaz to be inducted into PSA Hall of Fame

Weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz will be inducted into the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Hall of Fame on January 27.

She is being recognized for her Olympic achievements, including a silver medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics and the country's first Olympic gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics.

Diaz, who also won a silver medal in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, represented the country in four straight editions of the quadrennial showpiece, including the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Games.

She will be the youngest member of the PSA Hall of Fame, joining sports legends such as Manny Pacquiao, Paeng Nepomuceno, Efren 'Bata' Reyes, Lydia De Vega, Eugene Torre, and Bong Coo.

Gymnast Carlos Yulo will be honored as Athlete of the Year.
