Heneral Luna and Goyo nationwide re-screening for Independence Day

Critically acclaimed Filipino historical biopics "Heneral Luna" and "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" are being re-screened nationwide from June 12 to 15 to commemorate the 127th Philippine Independence Day.

Directed by Jerrold Tarog, the films focus on revolutionary heroes Antonio Luna and Gregorio del Pilar, respectively.

"Heneral Luna" (2015), starring John Arcilla as Gen. Luna, focuses on the general during the Philippine-American War.

"Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" (2018) follows Gen. Gregorio del Pilar, played by Paulo Avelino, as he becomes one of the Philippines' youngest generals and leads up to the Battle of Tirad Pass.

These films are the first two installments in TBA Studios' "Bayaniverse" series, with the third installment, "Quezon," set to be released this 2025.

Ticket prices start at P150 in select cinemas, with specific participating SM, Robinsons, Fishermall, and Shangri-La locations listed.
