Habagat to bring scattered rains over Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao

The southwest monsoon, or Habagat, is expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Mimaropa, and several provinces in Luzon, including Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, and Batangas.

These areas may experience moderate to heavy rains that could result in flash floods or landslides.

The rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies from morning to noon, with scattered rains and thunderstorms expected from the afternoon to evening.

The habagat will bring a high chance of rain over the Kalayaan and Calamian Islands, as well as most parts of Panay Island, Negros Occidental, Southern Leyte, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies in the morning and a high chance of rain throughout the day will affect the rest of Palawan and the Visayas.

The habagat will also bring a high chance of rain starting in the morning in the Moro Gulf, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Agusan del Norte.
