GSIS releases P3.93B Christmas cash gifts to over 400,000 pensioners

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has released P3.93 billion in Christmas cash gifts to over 400,000 eligible pensioners.

For the first time, pro-rata pensioners and those who retired under the Portability Law are included in the Christmas cash gift distribution, with a total of 14,992 such pensioners eligible.

Eligible pensioners will receive a cash gift equivalent to one month's pension or P10,000, whichever is lower.

Eligibility for the cash gift includes old-age, retirement, and disability pensioners who are in active status and receiving their regular monthly pension as of November 30, 2025.

Survivorship and dependent pensioners are not eligible for the cash gift.

The GSIS advanced the December monthly pension to December 5 to help pensioners prepare for the holidays.
