GSIS offers emergency loan for Cebu earthquake victims

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has announced an emergency loan program for its members and pensioners affected by the magnitude 6.9 earthquake in Cebu.

GSIS President and General Manager Wick Veloso expressed the fund's support for government workers and retirees in the province during this difficult time.

Qualified members and pensioners in calamity-declared areas of Cebu can avail of emergency loans.

Those with an existing emergency loan can borrow up to P40,000, while those without outstanding balances can borrow up to P20,000.

The loan has a 6% annual interest rate and is payable over 36 months, with the first payment due after three months.

Loan proceeds will be disbursed electronically through the borrowers' ATM cards for quick and secure release of funds.
