Govt updates COVID-19 vaccine priority list, includes comorbidities

The Philippine government has updated its priority list for COVID-19 vaccination, now including individuals with comorbidities.

The new list, announced by Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, was developed by the Interim National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (iNITAG).

Frontline healthcare workers, both professional and non-professional, remain in the highest priority group (A1).

Senior citizens aged 60 and above are designated as the second priority group (A2).

Persons with comorbidities are now included in the A3 priority category.

Frontline personnel in essential sectors, including uniformed personnel, are in the A4 category.

The indigent population not covered by previous categories is placed in A5.

Teachers and social workers are now part of the B1 priority tier, alongside other government workers (B2) and essential workers (B3).
