Govt employee groups back GSIS chief Wick Veloso

Three organizations representing government employees and retirees have expressed their full support for the leadership of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) under President and General Manager Jose Arnulfo "Wick" Veloso.

The Philippine Government Employees Association (PGEA), Philippine Alliance of Retired Educators (PARE), and GSIS Retirees Association Inc. (GRAI) cited Veloso's administration for its transparency, sound financial management, and consistent engagement with members.

These groups, representing hundreds of thousands of members and pensioners, conveyed their confidence in the GSIS's current direction, particularly in light of recent discussions about its investments and governance.

Officials from the organizations stated they have personally observed the GSIS's openness and responsiveness to the concerns of its members and pensioners.

PGEA President Esperanza Ocampo specifically commended Veloso for his careful management and honest service to government workers.

Representatives from PARE met with Veloso and other GSIS officials to discuss key issues for retirees, including dividends, pension increases, and Christmas cash gifts.
