Govt clarifies movement guidelines for different quarantine levels

The Philippine government has clarified movement guidelines for areas under different levels of community quarantine: Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ), General Community Quarantine (GCQ), and Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).

Essential workers and frontliners are generally permitted to travel regardless of the quarantine classification of the area.

These essential travelers include health and emergency personnel, government officials and workers, humanitarian assistance actors, and individuals traveling for medical or humanitarian reasons.

Travel for those going to the airport for international flights, returning OFWs and overseas Filipinos, and individuals transported by the national government are also allowed across all quarantine types.

The guidelines aim to provide clarity on inter-area travel as quarantine measures are eased in some regions while others remain under stricter lockdowns.
