Six individuals bound for Thailand were rescued from human trafficking by government agents while attempting to depart the Philippines via Palawan.

The victims had traveled from Manila to Palawan on January 22, claiming they were recruited with job offers in Thailand.
They were instructed by their recruiter to meet in Palawan as part of the trafficking scheme.
The intercepted individuals were found attempting to leave the country illegally by boat from Bancalaan Island in Balabac, Palawan.
The rescued individuals were subsequently brought to Puerto Princesa City for further investigation by the National Bureau of Investigation and the Philippine National Police-Aviation Security Unit.
