Glan reopens tourist destinations to vaccinated visitors

The municipality of Glan in Sarangani province, dubbed the 'Boracay of the South,' has reopened its tourist destinations to fully vaccinated visitors from outside the Soccsksargen region.

This reopening is part of the local government's strategy to revitalize the tourism sector affected by the pandemic.

Tourists are required to present confirmed resort bookings and register through the 'DVY Cares' contact tracing app.

Unvaccinated tourists from outside the region are still allowed entry if they can provide a negative Covid-19 antigen test result.

The town had previously closed its 35 beach resorts and hotels in mid-June due to a surge in Covid-19 cases before allowing Soccsksargen residents in July.
