Gilas women's 3x3 team eyes better finish in Wuhan

The Gilas Pilipinas women's 3x3 basketball team is aiming for an improved performance in the upcoming FIBA 3x3 Wuhan leg after disappointing finishes in France.

The team struggled in the Clermont-Ferrand and Orléans legs, ending up in 11th place in both tournaments.

Despite the setbacks, star player Sam Harada expressed commitment to continuous improvement, citing the world-class level of competition as an eye-opener.

Angelica Surada will join Harada, Kaye Pingol, and Hazelle Yam in Wuhan, replacing Allana Lim.

Harada highlighted the need for improvement in individual skills, strength, discipline, and adapting to playing against taller opponents.

She also emphasized the team's existing chemistry and exposure to high-level play, vowing to showcase Filipino basketball resilience.
