Gilas U-18 women claim FIBA Asia Cup Division B spot

The Gilas Pilipinas U-18 women's team secured a spot in the FIBA U18 Women's Asia Cup Division B in China after defeating host Thailand, 103-58.

Alicia Villanueva led the team with 25 points, including 12 three-pointers, in the win against Thailand.

In their second game, Gilas Pilipinas dominated Malaysia, 100-68, with Gabriella Ramos scoring a team-high 29 points and grabbing 19 rebounds.

The Philippine team's defense forced 28 turnovers from Thailand and limited them to 0-of-22 shooting from beyond the arc.

Gilas Pilipinas then swept the Fiba U18 Women's Asia Cup Seaba Qualifiers by defeating Indonesia, 73-37.

Alicia Villanueva was again a key player in the win against Indonesia, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The team won all their games by an average of 37.3 points.
