Gilas Pilipinas adds Millora-Brown, Abarrientos to 12-man FIBA qualifiers lineup

Gilas Pilipinas has finalized its 12-man lineup, including the addition of big man Quentin Millora-Brown and guard RJ Abarrientos, for crucial FIBA World Cup qualifiers against Guam.

Head coach Tim Cone emphasized the immense importance of these two games, stating that failure to win would jeopardize their World Cup and Olympic aspirations.

Millora-Brown, now classified as a local, and Abarrientos provide much-needed reinforcements, particularly at the backup five, power forward, and point guard positions.

This lineup will be without Kai Sotto, though he is expected to join the team later.

The final roster features a strong frontcourt with AJ Edu, June Mar Fajardo, Japeth Aguilar, Justin Brownlee, Carl Tamayo, and Kevin Quiambao.

The backcourt is composed of Dwight Ramos, RJ Abarrientos, Scottie Thompson, CJ Perez, and Chris Newsome.

Troy Rosario, Jamie Malonzo, and Juan Gomez de Liaño were the players cut from the expanded pool but will remain part of the Gilas program.
