GCash and Klook launch travel card with P1,000 airport transfer voucher

GCash and Klook have partnered to launch the GCash Klook Travel Card, powered by Visa's global network, offering exclusive perks to Filipino travelers.

The new card provides benefits such as free vouchers and discounts on the Klook app, in addition to the existing features of a GCash card like international withdrawals and favorable foreign exchange rates.

Klook Philippines General Manager Michelle Ho announced that new cardholders will receive P1,000 for airport transfers and P350 for Klook's e-SIM, along with an annual P1,000 voucher for hotel bookings and up to five-percent discount on Klook activities five times yearly.

Users are also automatically upgraded to the gold tier of the Klook Reward Program, extending complimentary e-SIMs and issuing more than P6,000 in travel coupons.

GCash Head for Business Jong Layug emphasized that the card is designed to enable Filipinos to travel smartly and securely, calling it a 'passport'.

Filipinos may monitor their forex rates and total spends abroad through GCash, as the app converts every purchase into peso, allowing immediate computation of transaction costs in peso.

Popular travel destinations for Filipinos this December include Japan and Hong Kong, with growing interest in Vietnam, Thailand, and Taiwan.

Despite macroeconomic conditions, Klook and GCash are confident in the continued spending and travel habits of Filipinos.
