Gabe Norwood announces PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup as his final conference

Gabe Norwood, a veteran player for Rain or Shine and former Gilas Pilipinas captain, has announced that the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup will be his final conference in the league.

Norwood shared his decision in a video posted by his team, Rain or Shine, expressing that this upcoming conference marks "one last flight."

The 40-year-old Norwood, who has played for Rain or Shine since 2008, looked back on his career, which started with a four-year stint at George Mason University in the US NCAA.

He stated that basketball has given him countless memorable experiences, victories, defeats, friendships, fan support, and a family.

Norwood, who has won two PBA championships and is an 11-time All-Star, is known for his basketball IQ, defensive chops, and athleticism.

He was a Defensive Player of the Year and a seven-time member of the PBA All-Defensive Team.
