Filipina actress Gabbi Garcia stars with English actor Scott Adkins in the World War II film "Prisoner of War."

Garcia portrays Theresa, a nurse tending to Adkins' character, James Wright, a British officer captured during the Japanese occupation.

The action-drama film, directed by Louis Mandylor and co-written by Adkins, features death matches among prisoners before they plan an escape.

The movie premiered at the Beverly Hills Film Festival in April, had a limited theatrical release in August, and was released on VOD in the United States in September.

Garcia expressed her honor and thrill of working with Adkins on the project, sharing behind-the-scenes moments on Instagram.

Filipino-American actor Michael Copon also stars in the film as Gabriel Villanueva.
