Fully vaccinated guests required for Duterte's final SONA

Only individuals fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be permitted to physically attend President Rodrigo Duterte's final State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 26.

Approximately 350 guests, including lawmakers, Cabinet members, dignitaries, and their staff, can be accommodated inside the Batasang Pambansa.

Being fully vaccinated, with the second dose administered at least two weeks prior to the SONA, is a strict requirement for physical attendance.

Attendees will also be required to undergo reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing two days before the event.

Upon yielding a negative RT-PCR result, lawmakers must undergo an antigen test on the day of the SONA.

Only those who have tested negative to both RT-PCR and antigen tests will be allowed to enter the Plenary building.

The Presidential Security Group will provide prescribed face masks and face shields with QR codes for those entering the plenary hall.
