Fuel prices to decrease by P0.20 to P0.50 per liter starting Tuesday

Fuel retailers will implement a rollback on gasoline and diesel prices by P0.20 per liter each, and kerosene by P0.50 per liter starting Tuesday, September 26.

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Cleanfuel, and Petro Gazz are among the companies that will implement these price adjustments, with Cleanfuel implementing theirs earlier.

This rollback follows 10 consecutive weeks of price hikes for gasoline and 11 weeks for diesel and kerosene, and is not enough to offset previous increases.

The Department of Energy's Oil Industry Management Bureau had previously projected mixed movements for petroleum products.

Year-to-date net increases in fuel prices stand at P17.50 per liter for gasoline, P13.60 per liter for diesel, and P9.94 per liter for kerosene as of September 18.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board began releasing fuel subsidies to qualified public utility vehicle operators on September 13, 2023.
