Former customs chief Bert Lina dies at 76
Alberto "Bert" David Lina, founder of the Lina Group of Companies and former Bureau of Customs Commissioner, passed away at 76.
He was a titan in the country's logistics industry, establishing Airfreight 2100 (Air21) and expanding into customs brokerage and waste management.
Lina served as BOC Chief twice: first in 2005 under President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, and again from 2015 to 2016 under President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III.
