5 PH universities cited in QS World University Rankings 2025

Five Philippine universities were recognized in the QS World University Rankings for 2025, with the University of the Philippines improving its global standing to 336 from 404.

Ateneo de Manila University climbed to 516th place from 563rd, and De La Salle University rose to the 641-650 bracket from the 681-690 range.

Conversely, the University of Santo Tomas slipped to the 851-900 bracket from last year's 801-850 range, and the University of San Carlos fell to the 1,401+ band from the 1,201-1,400 range.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology retained its position as the top university globally for the 13th consecutive year.

Imperial College London jumped to second place, followed by the University of Oxford, Harvard University, and the University of Cambridge in the top five.
