Five National Artists endorse Leni Robredo's presidential bid

Five National Artists have officially declared their support for Vice President Leni Robredo's presidential campaign.

The National Artists who endorsed Robredo are Ben Cab (Visual Arts), Alice Reyes (Dance), Ramon Santos and Ryan Cayabyab (Music), and Virgilio Almario (Literature).

The endorsement was made public during an event called "Pusuan ang Sining at Kultura; State of the HeART" held at Miriam College Covered Courts.

National Artist for Dance Alice Reyes emphasized the need for collective action, stating, "She needs us, we need her. Gawin natin lahat for the love of this country."

Vice President Robredo was present at the event and received a copy of the Arts and Culture Kartilya from Rio Alma.

Robredo expressed her gratitude for the artists' contributions and their willingness to support the nation's future.

She also acknowledged that arts and culture are often overlooked and considered less important than other pressing issues.
