First Gen renews deal to supply 10MW geothermal energy to Unilever facilities

First Gen Corporation and Unilever Philippines have renewed their partnership for the supply of 10 megawatts of renewable energy to seven of Unilever's facilities.

This agreement will provide clean energy to Unilever's production and distribution sites located in Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas.

The renewable energy will be sourced from the geothermal plants of First Gen's subsidiary, Energy Development Corp. (EDC), specifically mentioning plants in Bicol, Leyte, and Negros Oriental.

Unilever plans to utilize this stable, round-the-clock geothermal power for its facilities manufacturing various products, including ice cream, sauces, personal care, and home care items.

Both companies express a shared commitment to addressing climate change and decarbonizing their operations.
