Filipino worker is Macau's 15th COVID-19 case

A 31-year-old Filipino worker has been confirmed as Macau's 15th case of COVID-19.

The man, who works at a hotel restaurant, last worked on January 26 before traveling to the Philippines to visit relatives.

He returned to Hong Kong on March 16 and subsequently sought medical attention in Macau for a toothache and rash.

After being considered a medium-risk case, testing confirmed he was positive for the virus.

He is currently receiving treatment in an isolation ward at Conde S. Januário Hospital.

Authorities have disinfected his residence and are tracing his contacts.

Macau has seen five new COVID-19 cases since March 15.
