Filipino lawmakers condemn US attack on Venezuela

De Lima expressed concern that the Philippines' alliance with the United States weakens its moral position to challenge Chinese aggression in the West Philippine Sea, drawing parallels between US actions in Venezuela and China's behavior towards smaller nations.

Senator Imee Marcos echoed these concerns, highlighting the situation in Venezuela as confirmation of long-standing worries about the interference of major powers in the internal affairs of strategically important states.
