Filipino educator Edison David receives MBE from King Charles III

Filipino educator Edison David has been recognized with a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) award by King Charles III for his contributions to British society through education.

David, originally from Tarlac City, received the honor for his sustained dedication and positive impact on his community in school leadership, system-wide improvement, and education policy in the UK.

He currently serves as an executive headteacher for two outstanding-rated schools in London and also works as a lead inspector for Ofsted, the UK's education and social care regulator.

David dedicated the award to all Filipino teachers worldwide and noted that his roots are firmly in the Philippines, carrying with him the values of resilience, humility, hard work, and a deep belief in the power of education.

He will personally receive his MBE from King Charles at Buckingham Palace, along with over 100 other distinguished individuals on the UK's 2025 New Year Honours List.
